Birch Lake is the largest and contains the largest fish; Carp to 25lbs and Tench to 4lbs. So named after the Birch trees which line two of the three banks; it is the most picturesque of the three.
The lake has very good weed growth, with lilies and reed beds around the margins, and if you keep quiet and concealed the margins are the best area to fish. All baits and methods work and once again, mornings and evenings produce the most fish. With large hard fighting fish and a lot of weed, good strong tackle is a must.
